A filter copies everything in the photo, including the blurry ear, the flash glare and the cushion behind them. An artist decides what matters: the eyes first, then the shape of the face, then the coat.
Our artists work on a digital canvas with watercolour brushes, building soft transparent layers the way watercolour on paper behaves. That is what makes fur look soft rather than painted on.
Some edges are left loose on purpose. A face in sharp focus with colour drifting into the background keeps the attention where it belongs: on their expression.
Because it is drawn digitally, you get a high-resolution file that prints cleanly from a small frame to a large poster, and changes such as a different background colour are easy during the proof.
